Following higher education studies in marine and freshwater biology, Callum began his aquaculture career in 2018 as Hatchery Technician at the National Lobster Hatchery, where he oversaw the continuous running, maintaining and upgrading of RAS to rear juvenile Homarus Gammarus, including working with Ocean On Land Technology’s Hatchery-in-a-Box system, which was installed at the hatchery in 2016. Following this, Callum went on to further develop his understanding of the fishing industry at W. Harvey and Sons as Tanks Supervisor.
Underpinned by his passion for the industry, Callum joined the Ocean On Land Technology team in 2020 and is now responsible for the day-to-day running of the lobster hatchery at Orkney, including assisting the research and development program to continually improve the Hatchery-in-a-Box product.
